Tatjana Janssen is a skilled lawyer whose specialisation in notarial law and civil law were born out of her interest in these areas. Her field consists not just of the asset aspects of divorce, but also partner alimony, for example, where Tatjana seeks to achieve the most desirable results for her clients in an efficient manner. Her empathy and sensitivity in personal contact make Tatjana accessible and client-focused. In all that she says and does, she always prioritises her clients and serves their interests with absolute conviction.
Tatjana graduated in Private Law from Utrecht University in 2013. Her Master’s thesis on limiting partner alimony was published in August 2013. Tatjana joined SmeetsGijbels because of her affinity with family law. She had previously worked at Boot cs Advocaten in Utrecht.
During her time as a student, Tatjana was actively involved in other activities, such as providing courses for the legal-aid centre in Houten and organising the Utrecht Young Bar Association national moot court contests. Tatjana was also a volunteer at the ‘Vereniging Rechtshulp en Bemiddeling Utrecht’ and a member of notarial student association, Vevanos.
Tatjana has been a prospective member of the ‘Nederlandse vereniging Familie- en erfrecht Advocaten Scheidingsmediators’ (vFAS) since February 2019.
Tatjana Janssen has a listing in the Netherlands Bar register for the following principal and secondary fields of law:
- • Personal and family law (divorce, alimony, visitation rights, international private law, youth protection law, parentage, and legitimation)
A condition of her registration is that, every calendar year, she is obliged to obtain ten training points for each of the main fields of law for which she is listed, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
