Ellen Vas specializes in all aspects of personal and family law. She is a committed, pragmatic and involved attorney, with a critical outlook. Ellen has a special affinity with (international) divorces, (complex) child-related cases, relocations, parental authority matters and maintenance matters.
In 2023, Ellen obtained her Master’s in Children's Rights from Leiden University. Before that, she studied at University College Utrecht, Utrecht University and at the University of Exeter Law School. Her thesis focused on the child's right to participate and to be heard during a divorce procedure.
During her studies, Ellen engaged in various extracurricular activities. She gained legal experience at Stichting STIL and Stichting de Tussenvoorziening in Utrecht, where she worked on cases related to the children's pardon, amongst other matters. Additionally, she was a legal advisor at the Utrecht Legal Aid Center (Rechtswinkel Utrecht) in the personal and family law department.
