Paul Sliepenbeek is an experienced family law lawyer and vFAS divorce mediator. In his practice, he guides and advises entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals, including in the context of divorce mediation. Paul mediates, negotiates and, where necessary, litigates in divorce and related matters. He is analytical, practical and always aims to be solution-oriented and goal-oriented, with the interests of his clients always at the forefront. Paul is also available for marathon mediations.
After studying Dutch law at Tilburg University, Paul entered the legal profession in 1983 and has since worked at AKD, at SCG Advocaten, which he co-founded in 2013, and at Sliepenbeek|Sanders Familierecht since 2020. Paul has been with SmeetsGijbels since the summer of 2025.
Paul is a member of the Dutch Association of Family and Inheritance Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS). He was a board member and chairman of the predecessor of this association (VAS) for many years in the 1990s until its merger with the VPFA.
Paul is a deputy judge at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, an editorial member of the professional journal Relatierecht & Praktijk (REP) and a member of the review committee of the Mediatorsfederatie Nederland (Mfn).
Paul Sliepenbeek has registered the following principal (and secondary) areas of law in the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA) register of legal areas:
- family law (divorce, alimony, visitation arrangements, mediation)
Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits in this registered main area of law each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
